Our Vision:
Taste & See
Coming out of the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic, we at Albany Mennonite Church have recognized that amidst all of our grief and loss, we have also received an incredible gift from God. We have received the gift of hospitality and connection.
We identify with the Psalmist, who, having sought refuge in God like we did, turned to others and sang out, "Come! Taste and see that God is good!"
As we seek to grow and extend our gift of hospitality and connection--to taste and see that God is good and to invite others to taste and see that God is good too--we have recognized four areas in which we feel called to do this.
We put it this way:
Taste & See
...in our nest
(our physical space and infrastructure)
...as our neighbor
(in our outreach and service to others)
...in our nurture
(in our congregational life)
...as we nourish
(in the ways we walk with those who are going through hard things)
Come! Taste and see that God is good!
