FAQ
Do you have Sunday School?
Children’s and youth Sunday School are held during the school year from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and will be through the foyer, to the left, and up or down the stairs (or elevator, which is at the far end of the foyer, beyond the stairs). The youth and middle schoolers are in the basement and the elementary kids are on the top floor. We have classes for kids as young as four and teens up to 12th grade.
What about adult Sunday School?
During the Sunday School hour, we always offer coffee and conversation space for adults to meet and chat in our Bethany Center (through the foyer and to the right). Often, we also offer an adult Sunday School class, usually in the Fireside Room (in the Bethany Center, on the right, past the kitchen). Check the home page to see if an adult Sunday School class is currently being offered or is coming up.
What do I wear?
Folks at AMC wear anything from shorts to suits. Just come as you are.
What about accessibility & hearing assistance?
An elevator is available in the far left corner of the foyer, after you enter, and hearing assistance is available at the sound booth at the back of the sanctuary. If you need something else, let us know!
Who is welcome?
Everyone. We welcome the full participation and membership of people of any racial or ethnic identity, sexual orientation or gender identity, physical or mental ability, and marital or economic status.
What is a Mennonite?
We are Christians who are known for having an Anabaptist flavor to our faith. That means that Jesus is the center of our faith, community is the center of our life, and reconciliation is the center of our work. For a fuller definition of Anabaptism, read this. What do kids do during worship?
During worship, we offer nursery care for kids who are three and under in the room across from the main sanctuary doors. Otherwise, we love having kids in worship with us, and we work hard to help them feel like they are fully a part of each service!
Do you have a safe child policy?
Yes. You can read it HERE
Do you have a youth group?
Yes. Our youth group meets every Sunday during Sunday School and for at least one other event per month. We also pair up each of our youth with an adult member of the congregation so that they can regularly meet up with and pray for each other. Every summer, our youth also attend Drift Creek Camp, and we love for them to bring friends!
If you’d like more information on our youth group, contact Pastor Peter.
What are some other ways I can get involved?
We do all kinds of things that we'd love you to be a part of! Here are just a few options and ways to be in the loop:
